Planting Seeds that Produce Fruit that Plant Seeds

So I started writing this blog just after I came back from Summer Madness but never actually got round to writing more than the title so here goes.

I've been involved in youth work now for about 10 years and over those years I have met some fantastic young people and planted many seeds, some of which I got the pleasure of watching grow and  in turn begin to plant seeds elsewhere and help others to grow just as they had.

However up until recently I had always felt guilty about some of the young people in my last church who I had been working with and who were really starting to go places with God and then I left. For me I always felt like I had planted the seed but didn't hang around to help water it and watch it grow. Therefore in some respects letting them and God down.

For the past few months this had been eating away at me and I was really feeling bad about walking away and leaving them and felt that I had wasted what God had called me to do with them. Don't get me wrong I knew God had moved me to a new church I just questioned not be around to see the fruit it produced.

Anyway at Sumer Madness this year I was going through a real "low" point when I finally got to see the fruit that was produced from the seeds I had helped to plant.

Seeing those young leaders walking into the tent who a few years ago where my young people to nurture and care for now with their own youth group. They had grown and were producing their own fruit and beginning to plant seeds in the next generation. Who, from watching them passionately engaging in worship at with God really showed that they two where now starting to produce fruit. As I stood there watching them something in me clicked and I felt God saying that what I had begun hadn't gone to waste, he had called it and had made it all work for good.

I guess what I wanted to get across through this blog is more don't give up and feel disheartened when at times you can't see what God purpose for things is or see where you are going. Trust him that the seeds you have planted won't go to waste, he will provide the people to water and help them grow. Maybe you will get the pleasure of being a part of all of those stages or maybe you are only there for a season. Whatever God's purpose, it's perfect for you and what is meant to be at that time.

Don't give up, Don't get disheartened, sit back, relax, trust God and get ready to watch those seeds begin to produce fruit that will in turn begin to plant seeds in others.

No matter what the situation God is Able!!
